Program Overview and Audience
These online seminars are designed for communication professionals with 5–10 years of experience who are moving into management roles, responsible for assessing communication and training programs, and/or tasked with designing and leading the new generation of organizations and work teams.
Complete any 6 seminars to earn a Professional Certificate from Ithaca College. Professional Certificates are available in one of these areas:
- Strategic Communication Management: For communication professionals moving into management roles. Topics covered are immediately relevant to the workplace.
- Sustainability Leadership: A training program for practitioners who want to improve their skills in order to lead sustainability initiatives within their organization.
Each interactive seminar provides practical tools and advice, as well as giving you the theoretical underpinning and vocabulary needed to more effectively explain and defend your strategic decisions. They are facilitated by faculty from Ithaca College, providing you with access to leading experts in the field. The topics covered are immediately relevant to your career, providing concepts and skills necessary for you to:
- Manage projects and teams more effectively
- Build coalitions
- Pitch and show value for communication projects and infrastructures
- Design and lead the new generation of organizations and work teams
Program Highlights
Each course is a two and a half week experience requiring about 10 hours of work, including readings, participating in online discussions, and completing assignments or work-related projects. The “anytime” format gives you the flexibility to fit it into your schedule.

- Each seminar requires about 10 hours of work including readings, online discussions, assignments and projects
- Each seminar earns one CEU (Continuing Education Unit).
