"World News Network" Nortel Networks
In 2001 Nortel Networks, one of the largest telecommunication/networking
companies in the works facing the repercussions of a 50% employee
cutback and the company's reconstruction. Rumors and uncertainty

that would both stimulate employee morale and support, and combat
both the internal and external news sources that were vying for
staff attention to become the main source of news for employees.
The result was the World News Network, an intranet site created
to be the main source of information for Nortel employees in 150
countries.
"The Success of the Relaunch of www.uihelthcare.com"
University of Iowa Health Care
It was recognized in 1999 that the University of Iowa Healthcare
website needed to be revised and updated to aid in the institutions
growth plans. In addition to giving Iowans access to the Healthcare
information, the website needs to reach out to a worldwide audience
of patients, doctors and researchers, and act as an informational
site for faculty and staff until an intranet can be set up. A small
three member team was established to overhaul and update the University
of Iowa Healthcare Website in just six months with a moderate budget.
As a result of their efforts the university of Iowa Healthcare website
is now an easy to navigate site that gives a human face to the institution.
