"Using Research to Quantify the Impact of Communication" Joe Williams Communications, INC

In 1999 Joe Williams Communications, Inc conducted an employee survey for the Federal Reserve Bank of Saint Louis. This survey showed that while the majority of employees enjoyed working at the bank, there were other aspects of the work environment that they were not as enthusiastic about. Joe Williams Communication used the information collected to help the bank focus on strategies that would effect the overall work environment at the bank.

"Reaching Out to the Wealthy" Manning Selvage & Lee

With the rise of dot com wealth and heavy investment in the stock market, private banks had to find a way to become more competitive and cater to the "new wealthy", people with assets of 1 million dollars or more. JP Morgan Private Banking, with it's reputation for counseling those with assets over 2.5 million dollars, recognized the need and created new services for this growing group. Using interviews with private banking experts and spokespeople to identify the best image to put to the media, Manning Selvage and Lee partnered with JP Morgan to embark upon a Public Relations campaign that would increase awareness of the private banking group and increase visibility and establish itself in cities where they were opening new offices.

"Fatality Reduction Campaign - Kootenays" Insurance Corporation of British Columbia

The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC), which provides vehicle insurance to all drivers in British Columbia, has tried to help British Columbians Take the Risk Out of Road Transportation using their Public Affairs/ Loss Prevention department. In the Kootenays region of British Columbia they found that fatality rates on their roads had been climbing steadily since 1998, due to the mountainous terrain and narrow winding highways. Research found that 50% of the people killed in these accidents were not wearing their seatbelts. ICBC used surveys of Kootenays drivers to assess the problems and convince police and other stakeholders that the issue needed to be addressed.
