Reorganization and Acquisition of UDI
BAE Systems Inc.
In preparing for the acquisition of another defense company, the communication department at BAE Systems developed an integrated communication and strategy plan. The acquisition and reorganization would upend the company’s existing organizational structure and would be very visible to employees; therefore, the communication plan served to stem employee’s concerns. By briefing employees prior to any public announcements and answering any concerns and questions, BAE Systems’ two-way communication plan ensured employees’ understanding and support of the acquisition and reorganization.
We Are CVRD (Somos Vale)
CVRD—Companhia Vale do Rio Doce
The We Are CVRD (Somos Vale) project aimed to unify the formerly disparate internal communication processes at the Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, based in Rio de Janeiro. Through standardizing and integrating their internal communication vehicles, CVRD could provide employees with better and broader corporate and local information. The resulting six vehicles were designed to complement each other and take information to the internal audience as a whole.
