All About a Healthier U Wellness Launch
Brinker International Inc. in partnership with PartnerComm Inc.
Brinker International Inc., is one of the world’s leading casual dining companies and in 2006 was named one of Fortune magazine’s “most admired companies.” Brinker has always offered both part-time and full-time employees valuable health benefits. However, with rising health care costs, the company was finding it more and more challenging to offer these benefits. Research revealed that every dollar an organization spends on wellness programs could translate to three to four times that amount in health care savings. Armed with this knowledge, Brinker partnered with WebMD, a leading resource on health and wellness issues, and unveiled a new wellness campaign. The first year of the campaign focused on raising employees’ awareness of health care and wellness issues.

HealthMatters
Mercer Human Resource Consulting
In 2004, Experian, one of the U.S.’s top consumer credit information firms, faced rising health care costs. To help offset these looming costs the company launched HealthMatters, a program aimed to drive long-term improvement in employee health through behavior change. After initial, strong interest, HealthMatters was in danger of fading away in 2005. Experian asked Mercer Human Resource Consulting to help revive the program and create a renewed focus on achieving long-term changes in employee behavior.

Great People, Great Choices Communications Campaign
Mercer/Kroger
Kroger, a national grocery store chain, had long taken a traditional approach towards managing health benefit costs. But as medical care costs continued to increase, Kroger realized that soon these benefits would be unaffordable for its associates as well as for Kroger. The company decided to make significant changes to its health benefits. But communicating these new changes proved to be a challenge, as Kroger’s associates are dispersed over a wide geographic area, have busy lifestyles and often, depending on their location, recieve minimal support from HR. To combat these obstacles, the communication team created a CD-ROM that covered key features of the plan and could be accessed both at work and at home.
