Onsite Registration Hours
You may collect your badge and registration materials at the IABC Registration Counter, located on the Terrace Level of the Hilton Washington. Materials may not be picked up for another person.

Badges
Your IABC conference badge must be worn for admittance to all keynotes, sessions and non-ticketed events. Lost badges will not be replaced.

Recommended Dress
All conference events are business casual. Bring a sweater or light jacket to meeting rooms, as they tend to be cold.

Banks
Most banks in Washington, D.C. are open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm. Some banks are also open in the morning on Saturday.

Electricity
The United States uses 110-120 volts, 60 cycles. Small appliances, such as hairdryers or shavers, may require a volt converter and a plug adaptor with two flat parallel pins.

Smoking
Smoking is forbidden by law on public transit and in government buildings. At the Hilton, smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

Child Care
Contact the Hilton's concierge for childcare recommendations.

Local Weather
The weather in Washington, D.C. in June is typically warm and humid with an average temperature range of 83 ° F/29 ° C (high) to 65 ° F/19 ° C (low).

Conference Extras

Fitness Sessions
Aerobics and Yoga classes will be led by qualified instructors every morning Monday through Wednesday, 7:00-7:45am. There will be a Fun-Run led on Monday to show runners the route.

IABC Booth
On Monday and Tuesday, visit the IABC booth in the Exhibit Hall to learn more about the latest international programs and services, including Accreditation, Communication World, MyComm – the online strategic planning tool, and the newest research from the IABC Research Foundation. You can also browse and purchase selected IABC knowledge resources. You’ll find tools for communication planning, research and measurement, online communication and more.

Exhibits & Internet Café
Be sure to visit the Exhibits Monday and Tuesday for some of the latest communication tools that will help you leap ahead in your career. The Internet Café, also located in the Exhibit Hall, will be available to all attenders during exhibit hours.
