Date: Tuesday, 24 June
Time: 1:15–2:30 p.m.
Track: Communication Leadership

Sustainable development is being embraced by many organizations, whether they are beginning the planning process or already implementing and measuring responsible environmental, social and economic activities. What do communicators need to know to participate in this process and have a meaningful influence on audiences’ response to these changes?

In this session, you will learn:

  • The importance of focusing on the social and economic aspects of sustainable development, not just environmental strategies
  • Tactics for leading and facilitating the sustainable development planning process—from executive engagement to institutionwide commitment
  • Some of the best examples of effective communication in sustainable development
