It is frequently difficult for leaders to explain vision and strategy clearly. Yet people increasingly want the whole story and do not tolerate leaders who lack openness, authenticity and credibility. This session will synthesize visual metaphor, coaching and storytelling to teach how to build a big picture and create meaningful conversations that engage others.

Examples from the profit and nonprofit sectors will demonstrate:

• The power of the visual metaphor
• Ways to uncover a line of sight to the big picture throughout the business
• Methods for engaging others through dialogue

Presenter / Mike Pounsford / United Kingdom, is the founder of Couravel, where he works with leading public and private sector organizations to improve performance through effective internal communication and employee engagement. Previously, Pounsford built WPP Group’s brand engagement consultancy. He was also a director of Alexander Consulting Group’s organizational effectiveness practice and a consultant with Towers Perrin.
