Online Registration Service for Chapters
IABC has negotiated an agreement for U.S. based chapters and districts with Cvent (www.cvent.com), a provider of online event registration and electronic marketing tools. The agreement will provide chapters with an easy-to-use registration tool to help plan and promote your meetings, track attendance and revenue and boost membership. Cvent’s registration tool will allow you to archive events and attendance, and will save significant time and chapter administration expense. Your chapter cost will be limited to $500 for the annual license and maintenance fee, and US $2.00 per credit card transaction.
IABC uses Cvent for its Leadership Institute, International Conference, seminar and teleseminar registrations. IABC staff has hands-on registration experience with Cvent, and recommends it for chapter or district use. On staff, we’re well supported by Cvent’s customer service group that knows IABC, and can be reached by telephone or e-mail. Their clients are large and varied, and include Marriott, JP Morgan, Starwood Hotels, NASDAQ, Meeting Professionals International and Ernst & Young.

Special Chapter Pricing
IABC has negotiated an affordable chapter fee for your use of Cvent, and has locked in this pricing for the next four years:
- Annual 25 event package for chapters
- US $500 annual license and maintenance fee (includes online payment account through VeriSign, complete customer service and support and report capabilities)
- US $2.00 per person ecommerce transaction fee when your registrants pay online using their credit card. (If a registrant pays offline with a check or cash, there is no $2.00 transaction fee.)
- Minimum of 250 transactions per year.
IABC staff researched several online registration companies before committing to Cvent, and was influenced by the low pricing structure and strong customer references. In negotiating this agreement for chapters, IABC was given the lowest price possible. IABC international receives no compensation or special benefits for chapter’s use of Cvent.
Cvent Luncheon and Product Seminars
Cvent offers complimentary luncheons in select cities where they demonstrate their products. The seminars provide insights into online event registration and emarketing as well as give you the opportunity to learn more about Cvent. They also have online demos every day of the week. We recommend that you try to attend one or both understand the value that Cvent provides.
