After input from our member survey, think tanks and reviews of professional literature, we’ve begun work on the next studies in our research pipeline.

Building Sustainable Futures: Communication Strategies for Corporate Social Responsibility Change Management

This study will look at the role of communicators and communication strategies in corporate social responsibility change initiatives and explore how the communication function drive CSR change management initiatives, what strategies and best practices are utilized to build stakeholder awareness of corporate social responsibility issues, the relationship between communicators and corporate citizenship professionals and more.

Conversations with CEOs: The communication function in modern organizations

This study will focus on the role of communication in business or organizational success as seen through the eyes of the CEOs as they speak to fundamental questions that all communicators grapple with, including the role of communicators and of communication in business/organizational success, what skills are needed to serve in the role of communicator, what leaders need from their communication staff, and what skills leaders themselves need to be effective communicators and leaders.

Online mass collaboration: A developing communications practice

This study will explore the rapidly developing technology that allows thousands and perhaps millions of individuals to collaborate online in platforms such as Wikipedia.  The study will focus on which communication practices might enhance the design, implementation and management of mass collaboration systems.  Knowledge from this study will allow communications leaders and professions to better understand the benefits of online mass collaboration systems and how communications practices can enhance the effectiveness of these technologies.
