Sponsored by Farm Credit Canada, Odebrecht, Vale, Unimed Rio, CEMIG and IABC/Toronto
The IABC Research Foundation has awarded $50,000 to Likely Communication Strategies Ltd. on behalf of the five member research team: Dr. Krishnamurthy Sriramesh Professor of Public Relations, School of Business, Massey University, New Zealand; Mr. Fraser Likely President and Managing Partner, Likely Communications Strategies Ltd., Canada; Mr. Bert Regeer Vice-President of Communications Planning, Operations and CI, Shell International B.V., Holland; Dr. Danny Moss Principal Lecturer, Manchester Metropolitan University, England; and Dr. Maria Aparecida Ferrari Associate Professor, School of Journalism & Public Relations, Methodist University of São Paulo, Brazil.
For years, IABC members have requested information on communication department structures to compare their current or potential organizational structure to others in similar businesses, geographic locations and size. This study will be of great value to communication leaders with strong involvement in planning, budgeting and staffing their communication departments, who can use it as a guide for evaluating and assessing the structures of their own communication departments and for future planning.
