The IABC Research Foundation has awarded $10,000 to Professors Martin Eppler and Jeanne Mingist of the University of Lugano, Switzerland for a study on information overload. Specifically we are looking for research on the best techniques for constructing messages sent to employees in high information-overload environments and methods for managing the volume of employee messages.

The IABC Research Foundation has awarded a $30,000 grant to Mathew Greenwald & Associates, Inc of Washington, D.C. The study will seek to identify trends in the way businesses are communicating with diverse age groups in industrialized countries and emerging economies around the world. The research will address how Gen Y and Boomers different in their preferences for employer communications and engagement methods and their expectations of and satisfaction with employer communications in a range of specific areas. In addition it will address what changes Gen Y professionals feel are needed to improve engagement and teamwork.
