This joint panel brings together leaders from corporations, nonprofits and civic organizations who are actively working to educate the public, elevate sustainability initiatives, and improve the health of Detroit's ecosystem.
Attendees will hear firsthand how communications strategy, public engagement, and collaboration are accelerating environmentally focused projects across the city and surrounding communities. The discussion will highlight how storytelling, partnerships, and community activation can drive measurable impact - and how communicators can play a more intentional role in advancing this work.
Plus, be there for an exciting announcement, as the winner of the $3 million Sustainable Cities Challenge will be discussed! . This innovative program, created through a partnership between the City of Detroit, Challenge Works, and the World Resources Institute, and funded by the Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF), aims to transform urban freight movement in Detroit's Eastern Market.
