Being A Great Partner: A Win-Win Model Between Agencies and Clients

Presented by Leslie Quinton

Imagine what you could accomplish by maximizing your agency relationships to deliver more impact for your entire communications team. Whether you are a public, private or non-profit organization, you probably carefully watch how you spend your limited PR budget and want to make sure you have an agency partner who cares as much about delivering results as you do. Relationships that start full of promise (since like a marriage, no one hires an agency thinking it won’t work) often fail because of a few key missing elements. Join an expert who has been on both sides of the table for an energetic discussion on what makes a winning model so that everyone comes out ahead.

Three Session Takeaways:

  1. Managing expectations
  2. Being the best client possible
  3. Do’s and Don’ts for great agency-client relationships

Presenter / Leslie Quinton is VP Global Corporate Communications and Events for BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products) and has held senior roles in global strategic communications, stakeholder relations, corporate social responsibility, internal communications and issues, crisis and brand management. She is former Vice-President Corporate Communications at Air Canada and was previously Senior Vice-President, Global Corporate Communications at SNC-Lavalin. She also worked seven years for various PR agencies with global affiliations where she advised several Fortune 500 clients, as well as governmental ministries and not-for-profit organizations on a broad range of issues in sectors such as hospitality, pharmaceutical, home appliances, food, technology, cosmetics, and more. She taught public relations and corporate communications at McGill University for eight years and is beginning a mandate in January at the Université de Sherbrooke as an instructor in their International Public Relations course.

Leslie is involved in several non-profit organizations as a board member and is past-president of IABC Montreal as well as incoming president for International Women’s Forum (Canada).
