This month, we are excited to announce that IABC will co-host A Virtual Communication Master Class with Workplace by Facebook, with the goal to provide a digital classroom series featuring many subject matter experts in employee engagement and leadership. The 2-part series will feature an interactive style of online education that focuses on experience and hands-on learning. You are able to register to one or both below.

Part 1 | Building Authentic Leadership Using Live Video

Ben Gould, Head of the Connected Executive Program, Workplace

Ben is the Head of the Connected Executive Program at Workplace from Facebook, a global leadership development program enabling CEOs seeking to humanize leadership and foster the power of connection at work. Ben previously led the Business Influencer Program at Facebook which focused on coaching global business leaders and notable public figures on how to leverage Facebook and Instagram as a leadership communications platform. 

 

Mark Pollard, Offsite Technical Producer, Facebook

Mark pollard is a Technical Producer on The Production Group at Facebook with nearly 20 years of live event production experience. Over the past two decades he has worked on everything from global arena concert tours, large scale corporate events, live broadcast, and much more. At present, Mark is currently responsible for leading up the engineering efforts around The Production Group’s cloud based video production systems to enable Facebook to continue producing live events at scale.

 

Jesse Evans, Customer Education Manager, Workplace

Jesse Evans is a Customer Education professional with over 10 years of experience building out virtual training and education programs for software companies.  During that time he has worked with countless people to help coach them on their virtual facilitation skills and is passionate about demonstrating the value of live, virtual instructor-led training.

 

 

Catherine Dennehy, Internal Communications Manager, Facebook

Catherine Dennehy is an Internal Communications Manager at Facebook, supporting communications and events for our international headquarters in Dublin and acting as Internal Comms Business Partner for our Global Marketing Solutions (GMS) team. Catherine joined Facebook in 2019 following 7 years in corporate communications within the telecommunications industry, most recently leading internal communications and PR at Three Ireland.

 

Part 2 | Improve Employee Engagement Through Virtual Events

The need to build community within the workplace is more important now than ever before – but building community virtually is tough. We’re used to bringing people together, sharing  content, building camaraderie and getting to know each other – but with physical gatherings unlikely to occur in the near future, how do we pivot to running engaging internal events in virtual environments? Three session takeaways to expect are:

Leah Truitt, Client Success Manager, Workplace

Leah is a Client Success Manager at Workplace. In this role she helps some of Workplace’s largest North American customers transform their culture and communications using the platform. Before joining Facebook, Leah spent almost a decade in corporate communications with a focus on using culture and employee engagement to accelerate business transformation. Most recently she led internal communications at WW, the new Weight Watchers, introducing the company’s new purpose and brand transformation to the company’s 18,000 team members. As part of the journey, Leah launched Workplace to build global community and align employees to the new strategy. Leah is passionate about using technology to transform how we engage both inside and outside of work, creating new opportunities to engage employees, build meaningful communities, and tell powerful stories that bring brands to life.

Nicole Vendetti, Global Event Programs, Facebook

Nicole Vendetti is an Event Marketer on the Global Event Programs team at Facebook, responsible for leading global events for the internal sales and marketing teams, including the annual GMS Summit – Facebook’s largest internal event. Having worked on the agency and brand side, Nicole has worked over the past 9 years producing and leading both consumer-facing and B2B event programs. Nicole recently got married despite having her wedding postponed due to the pandemic, and she looks forward to moving into a new home with her husband and true love of her life: her dog, Rey.

Keith Baker, Thought Leadership Lead, Facebook

Keith Baker is the Thought Leadership Lead on the Global Industry Marketing team at Facebook, where he is responsible for programming some of Facebook’s biggest internal events and leading a team that builds Facebook’s thought leadership within the advertising industry. He has a Master’s in Integrated Marketing from NYU and over 10 years of experience working on event programs. Born in the UK but now living in New York, Keith drinks both tea and coffee – but only really likes tea.
