Overview

IABC World Conference 2027 will prepare you for the future of communication through connection, technology, and the human experience.

Bringing together communication professionals from around the world, World Conference offers expert-led learning, global perspectives, and valuable networking opportunities designed to help you strengthen your skills, broaden your perspective, and increase your impact.

This year's theme draws inspiration from two defining elements of Calgary: its skyway system and its mountains. The skyway represents modern communication, the network of pathways, intersections, and connections that reflects how people, ideas, and information move through an increasingly digital world. The mountains represent the permanence and humanity at the heart of meaningful communication.

The tension between technology and nature, digital and physical, progress and perspective reflects the work communicators accomplish every day. We're more connected than ever, yet often more divided. But the intersecting paths, opposing directions, and converging viewpoints express both the complexity and possibility of common ground.

Every session during World Conference 2027 will be aligned to the IABC Career Roadmap, equipping you with practical strategies and actionable insights to strengthen your skills and advance your career, no matter where you are on your professional journey. Join us in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, from 13-15 June 2027.

Call for Proposals

This year’s event will take place 13-15 June 2027 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, bringing together communication professionals from around the world.

The focus for 2027 is on the future of communication through connection, technology, and the human experience. In a world where digital pathways continue to expand, how do we build understanding, foster meaningful connections, and find common ground?

We're looking for insights, experiences, and best practices from speakers that explore the intersection of technology and humanity and demonstrate how communication can drive engagement, collaboration ,and impact.
