About the Master Class
Becoming data-driven is the buzzword of internal communicators, but here’s the thing: we know that we SHOULD be doing it but we don’t know how to go about it. Your company data is probably scattered around the organization in silos and is used subjectively and analyzed retroactively. How can you know if your communications are being consumed, understood or connecting with employees in any meaningful way? You can probably measure output, but are you measuring impact?
This three-part Master Class series is designed to give the step-by-step approach to creating a data-driven organization, oriented to make operative, strategic, and tactical decisions based on analytics (rather than opinion or gut instinct), and ultimately, tie business decisions and actions to analytical insights. The series is grounded in real life experience – showcasing practical implementation success stories (and some not so successful!) and demonstrating business cases and a long-term rollout process to guide you along your data and measurement journey!
Part 1:
Where Do We Start?
This session will address what you need to do to begin the transformation to become a data-driven organization, and maximize business results and drive value in operative, strategic and tactical decisions.

- Know the steps to take to develop your story and build into your organization’s brand.
- How to get the attention and buy-in of company management.
Part 2:
Creating a Data-Driven Culture
You got management on board, but the real change comes with the people: the challenge is around creating Data-Driven Culture. This session will address the change management process that will lead to cultural change.
The learning outcomes of this master class are as follows:
- Understand the steps to take to build a change management process to drive the data-driven culture.
- Navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
- Learn how to create influencer groups and build a community that can tell the story and excite and engage users.
Part 3:
Business Case: Internal Comms Department
This session will address the steps for implementation on a practical level for an internal communications department, and ultimately understand how data will impact employee engagement and drive the goals of the department.
